Terms of Service
Last updated: 28 May 2026.
1. Object
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern the use of and subscription to the conv2pdf service, available at conv2pdf.com, operated by Iris Digital (see Legal Notice).
conv2pdf provides an online service for converting, merging, splitting, compressing and protecting files to PDF, available in one-off free mode or via subscription, as well as a REST API for application integration.
They apply both to consumer customers (natural persons acting for purposes outside their professional activity) and to business customers. Clauses reserved for consumers are identified as such.
2. Acceptance
Creating an account, taking out a subscription or using the service constitutes full and unreserved acceptance of these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
3. Access to the service
- One-off conversion (Free): accessible without an account, within the limits indicated on the pricing page.
- Account (Premium and API): an account is created via an access link sent to a valid email address, without a password.
- Premium subscription: monthly or annual billing via Stripe.
- API: access via a personal key, subject to a quota according to the plan.
4. Price
Prices are shown in euros, all taxes included. VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French General Tax Code (Iris Digital falls under the VAT-exemption scheme for small businesses).
The Free plan is free of charge. The Premium subscription is offered at €4.99 per month or €39 per year. API plans are detailed on the API pricing page. Iris Digital reserves the right to change its prices; the applicable price is the one in force at the time of subscription or renewal.
5. Payment
Payment is made by bank card through our provider Stripe. The subscription is charged on sign-up, then automatically at each due date (monthly or annual). An invoice is available from the "My account" area. In the event of payment failure, access to paid features may be suspended.
6. Term, renewal and termination
The subscription is entered into for an indefinite term and renews automatically at each due date, until cancelled.
The customer may cancel their subscription at any time, directly online from the "My account" area, in accordance with article L215-1-1 of the French Consumer Code. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period already paid for; sums paid for that period are not refunded on a pro-rata basis.
The customer may also delete their account at any time from their dashboard: this deletion is instant and irreversible.
7. Right of withdrawal (consumer customers)
In accordance with article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code, consumers in principle have a period of fourteen (14) days to withdraw from a contract concluded at a distance.
However, by requesting immediate access to the service (converting a file or activating the subscription), the consumer expressly requests immediate performance of the service and acknowledges losing their right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed, in accordance with article L221-28 of the same code.
A consumer who has not waived this right may exercise it using the model form provided in the annex, or by any unambiguous statement sent to contact@conv2pdf.com.
8. Legal guarantees (consumer customers)
Consumers benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services (articles L224-25-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) as well as the guarantee against hidden defects (articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code). These guarantees apply independently of any commercial warranty.
9. Usage restrictions
The user agrees not to:
- Upload files containing illegal content (hate speech, terrorism, child pornography, etc.)
- Bypass quota or size limits by technical means
- Use the service for fraudulent or abusive activities (denial of service, mass scraping, etc.)
- Resell access to the service without prior written authorization
10. Intellectual property
The user retains all rights over the files they upload and over the converted files they download. conv2pdf acquires no rights over these files and never uses them for any purpose other than the requested conversion.
The interface, source code, logo and trademarks of conv2pdf remain the property of Iris Digital.
11. Service availability
conv2pdf does its best to ensure maximum service availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. Custom subscriptions benefit from a contractual SLA negotiated separately.
Scheduled maintenance interruptions may occur, with notice when possible.
12. Liability
conv2pdf is provided as-is. Iris Digital cannot be held liable for:
- Loss of files in the event of technical failure (always keep your originals)
- Minor layout alterations on complex Office formats (an open-source office conversion engine is used)
- Use made of the converted files
13. Suspension and termination for breach
Iris Digital reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the service in case of breach of these Terms, in particular abusive use, non-payment or illegal content.
14. Public file sharing
conv2pdf allows the creation of public share links, to temporarily share a generated PDF via a URL of the form conv2pdf.com/s/<id>.
The user creating a share link:
- warrants that they hold all rights over the shared file (copyright, intellectual property, consent of any data subjects where personal data is involved);
- solely assumes responsibility for the distribution of the content via this link and for any consequences for third parties;
- accepts that the link is accessible to anyone holding the URL, within its validity period.
A revocation key is provided when the link is created: it allows the share to be deleted at any time before it expires. Users with an account can also list and revoke their links from the My account dashboard.
Iris Digital reserves the right to remove without notice any link reported as abusive, illegal or in breach of these Terms, and to retain the technical metadata of that link (creation date, source IP, content hash) for the purposes of any subsequent investigations or requests from competent authorities.
Abuse can be reported to contact@conv2pdf.com or via our contact form.
15. Complaints
Any complaint may be sent to contact@conv2pdf.com or via our contact form. We endeavor to respond as soon as possible.
16. Modification of the Terms
These Terms may be modified. Any substantial change will be notified to account holders by email with a minimum 30-day notice.
17. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of French courts, subject to mandatory provisions applicable to consumers.
