Extract pages

Extract pages from a PDF

Enter the pages to keep: they come out in a new PDF, in the order you write them.

PDF Max. size 10 MB, up to 200 MB on Premium
Separate with commas, ranges with a dash (e.g. 1-5). Pages come out in the order you write them.

How it works

  1. Drop your PDF, up to 10 MB on Free and 200 MB on Premium.
  2. Enter the pages to keep: numbers separated by commas (1, 3, 7), ranges with a dash (1-5), or both (1-3, 5, 8-12).
  3. Click Extract pages. The resulting PDF contains those pages, and only those.

Writing the pages

Nearby notations are understood too: 1 to 5, a semicolon or a space instead of the comma, the long dash a phone types. A page listed twice is kept once.

If a page you ask for does not exist, nothing is produced: the tool tells you how many pages your PDF has, and you correct. It never drops a page from your request without telling you.

Want one file per page?

Extract keeps the chosen pages in a single PDF. To separate every page of a document, each in its own file, use Split a PDF.

To cut a PDF in two, run two extractions: 1-10, then 11-.

What the extracted PDF contains

The resulting PDF carries the pages you asked for and nothing else from the document: not the pages left out, not the attachments, not the author name or the original title. You can pass it on without passing on the rest.

Pages are not re-encoded: text, images and fonts are those of the original PDF. Bookmarks that point to a kept page are preserved, as are web links and links between two kept pages. Links and bookmarks that pointed to a page left out are removed.

Two things are not kept. A form does not stay a form: its fields can no longer be filled in the extracted PDF. And the accessibility tagging of the original document is not carried over.

Privacy and security

The extraction runs on our OVHcloud servers in France. No US third party is involved in the process — no CDN, no storage, no tracker. Your PDFs are never indexed, analyzed or inspected. No result is cached.

The source PDF and the extracted PDF are deleted after one hour. If you create a share link, a copy of the PDF is kept for the period you chose (up to 7 days on Free and 30 days on Premium). You can delete the share (and therefore the PDF) at any time. conv2pdf is GDPR-compliant, and a DPA is available on request for professional use.

Frequently asked questions

Can I extract a single page?

Yes. Just enter its number, e.g. 7 to keep page 7 only.

How do I know how many pages my PDF has?

If you ask for a page that does not exist, the tool gives you the page count of the document and shows it under the field. To go to the end without knowing it, write end or leave the range open: 12-.

What if I ask for every page?

In their original order, the result would be your document unchanged: the tool tells you so and produces nothing. In another order, for example 3, 1, 2, it is a reorganization, and it is done.

Is there a page limit?

The PDF you drop can have up to 2,000 pages.

What if my PDF is password-protected?

Drop it as usual: if the file is protected, a field appears for its opening password. The extracted PDF has no password.
