Split a PDF online — free

Extract the pages or page ranges you need from a PDF. The result is a new PDF containing only the selected pages, in the requested order.

Separate with commas. Ranges with a dash (e.g. 1-5).

How it works

  1. Drop your PDF (max 10 MB on free, 200 MB on Premium).
  2. Specify the pages to extract: numbers separated by commas (1, 3, 7), ranges with a dash (1-5), or a mix (1-3, 5, 8-12).
  3. Click Extract. The resulting PDF contains only the selected pages, in the requested order.

Range syntax

The syntax supports isolated numbers and combined ranges: 1-5 extracts pages 1 to 5, 1, 3, 5 extracts only those 3 pages, and 10-12, 1, 5-7 extracts pages 10, 11, 12, 1, 5, 6, 7 in that exact order. Spaces around commas are tolerated. Out-of-bounds numbers (page 50 of a 30-page PDF) are silently ignored.

To split a PDF in two halves, run two successive extractions: 1-N then N+1-end.

Lossless extraction

Extraction keeps source pages as-is, no re-encoding: fonts, images, bookmarks, forms and internal links of the kept pages remain functional. Only bookmarks pointing to excluded pages are removed from the resulting PDF.

Privacy and security

Conversion on servers in France (OVH Gravelines), no US tier. Source PDF and resulting PDF deleted within 1 hour maximum, no result caching. No human intervention on the content, GDPR-compliant, DPA available on request.

Frequently asked questions

Can I extract a single page?

Yes. Just enter the page number, e.g. 7 to extract page 7 only.

Does the page order in the result follow the source PDF order?

No, it follows the order you specify. 5, 1, 3 produces a PDF with pages in that exact order — useful to reorganize a document.

Are interactive forms preserved?

Yes, form fields on extracted pages remain functional in the resulting PDF.

What if I specify an invalid range?

A fully out-of-bounds range (e.g. 50-60 on a 30-page PDF) triggers an error. A partially valid range is silently truncated to existing pages.
