Rotate a PDF

Rotate a PDF in seconds

Turn every page by 90, 180 or 270° and keep the original quality.

PDF Max. size 10 MB, up to 200 MB on Premium

How it works

  1. Drop the PDF to rotate (max 10 MB on Free, 200 MB on Premium).
  2. Pick the angle: 90° clockwise, 180° (upside down) or 270° (counter-clockwise). The rotation is applied to every page of the document.
  3. Click Rotate. Download the new PDF, with the same pages in the new orientation.

Lossless rotation

Rotating a PDF only changes how each page is displayed: the page content is not re-rendered or re-encoded. Text stays selectable, images keep their full resolution and vector graphics remain sharp. There is no quality loss and no recompression, unlike a "print to PDF" workaround that would flatten everything into images.

The rotation is additive: if a page is already turned, the chosen angle is added to its current orientation. A page rotated 90° to which you apply another 90° ends up at 180°, exactly as you would expect.

When to use it

The most common case is a scan that came out sideways or upside down because the document was fed the wrong way. A 90° or 180° rotation puts every page back the right way up so the PDF reads naturally on screen and prints correctly.

It is also useful for photos saved as PDF, landscape slides that should be portrait, or any document whose pages need to face the same direction before you merge or share them. The whole file is rotated in one pass, so all pages stay consistent.

Privacy and security

The entire operation runs on our servers in France (OVH Gravelines). No US third party is involved in the process — no CDN, no storage, no tracker. Your PDFs are never indexed, analyzed or inspected. The rotation is a straight PDF → PDF operation: no conv2pdf watermark is added and no account is required.

The source PDF and the rotated PDF are deleted after one hour. If you create a share link, a copy of the PDF is kept for the period you chose (up to 7 days on Free and 30 days on Premium). You can delete the share (and therefore the PDF) at any time. conv2pdf is GDPR-compliant, and a DPA is available on request for professional use.

Frequently asked questions

Can I rotate only some pages?

Not yet. This tool rotates every page of the document by the same angle. Per-page rotation (for example only pages 1 to 3) is planned for a later version.

Does rotating reduce the quality of my PDF?

No. The page content is untouched — only the display orientation changes. Text stays selectable and images keep their original resolution.

My scan is upside down. Which angle should I pick?

Use 180° for a page that is upside down. Use 90° (clockwise) or 270° (counter-clockwise) for a page that is lying on its side, depending on which way it needs to turn.

Is there a limit on the number of pages?

A PDF can contain up to 2,000 pages. The file size limit still applies: 10 MB on Free, 200 MB on Premium.
